- Until the release of Staffel Sieben: Neu Romulus am 13. November 2012 the Hromi-Sternhaufen was the north exit of the Xarantine Sector; with the introduction of the Tau Dewa Sektor Block the Cluster has been relocated into the Sector.
- Until the Galaxy Map revamp released with Staffel Zehn: Der iconianische Krieg am 21. April 2015, the Xarantine-Sektor was located within the Pi Canis Sektor Block.
- The "Xarantine" were established as a race resisting Klingon attacks in the mid 22nd century. In several novels, Xarantine is also the name given to the Heimatsystem dieser Spezies. No other canon or licensed sources mention a "Xarantine Sektor", though.
